Wittenberg Department of Education Graduate Program Introduces Teacher-Leader Cohort

A respected leader in teacher education, 麻豆传媒团队鈥檚 Master of Arts in Education program introduces a Teacher-Leader Cohort, an advanced program focused on developing leadership skills in today鈥檚 teachers, to begin in the fall 2014 semester.

Ideal for currently licensed teachers of all grade levels, this cohort-modeled program is designed to be completed in two years with courses being offered only one day a week, convenient for busy educators.

The degree consists of 36 semester hours: five hours of focused inquiry courses, nine hours of core courses, 10 hours of research coursework and 12 hours in professional studies.

Participants will have the opportunity to consider various school leadership roles that support student development and school success, to improve their craft of teaching, to consider theories of educational leadership, learn critical supervisory and mentoring skills, and to engage in authentic teacher leadership experiences.

The Master of Arts in Education at Wittenberg teaches moral responsibility, social consciousness, and constructive social change as the foundations of citizenship in the world鈥檚 human community and in each person鈥檚 particular society.
